These pioneering efforts in applying Gestalt to education have been taking place through the Confluent Education Program at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and have focused on a number of broad objectives with respect to teacher personality, teacher skills, and written curriculum. Initial investigations of the results of these applications have noted significant increases in teachers' self-knowledge, sense of personal control, flexibility, and attention to the "here and now." Addi tionally, students in confluent classrooms have shown significant increases in a number of areas, including self-esteem and self-awareness.</p></div> <div class="field field--name-field-language-2 field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field--entity-reference-target-type-taxonomy-term clearfix field__items"> <div class="field__item"><a href="/taxonomy/term/86" hreflang="en">English</a></div> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-bibcite field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field--entity-reference-target-type-bibcite-reference clearfix field__item"><article class="bibcite-reference"> <div class="bibcite-citation"> <div class="csl-bib-body"><div><div class="csl-entry"><span class="citeproc-author">Phillips, M</span>. The author focuses briefly on the evolving relationship between psychotherapy and society, providing a brief overview of today's clinical needs. She then proposes a new development in the clinical concept of awareness from the optics of the field: aesthetic relational knowledge as a clinical tool that emerges from the phenomenological, aesthetic, relational, and process-oriented approach that is the Gestalt method. Therapeutic competence, in other words, is empathic and resonates with the client in a cocreated field. A clinical example will demonstrate how the concept of aesthetic relational knowledge can be used in a Gestalt therapy setting.</p></div> <div class="field field--name-field-language-2 field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field--entity-reference-target-type-taxonomy-term clearfix field__items"> <div class="field__item"><a href="/taxonomy/term/86" hreflang="en">English</a></div> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-bibcite field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field--entity-reference-target-type-bibcite-reference clearfix field__item"><article class="bibcite-reference"> <div class="bibcite-citation"> <div class="csl-bib-body"><div><div class="csl-entry"><span class="citeproc-author">Spagnuolo Lobb, M</span>. It basically makes a proposal to get rid of the individualistic language that is still in Gestalt therapy's categories called 'losses of ego functions', by using the idea of dance, which includes the feelings and the movements of both therapist and client. This perspective is in line with contemporary studies of neurosciences, intersubjective and relational psychoanalysis; it also allows the therapist to stay with the spontaneity of the co-creation of the therapeutic contact (the dance steps), and at the same time to include developmental and psychopathological aspects of the experience (the polyphonic development of domains), as part of the experience of the ground, as a music of 'steps' that the client takes in the therapeutic situation.</p></div> <div class="field field--name-field-language-2 field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field--entity-reference-target-type-taxonomy-term clearfix field__items"> <div class="field__item"><a href="/taxonomy/term/86" hreflang="en">English</a></div> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-bibcite field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field--entity-reference-target-type-bibcite-reference clearfix field__item"><article class="bibcite-reference"> <div class="bibcite-citation"> <div class="csl-bib-body"><div><div class="csl-entry"><span class="citeproc-author">Spagnuolo Lobb, M</span>. The concept of isomorphism is considered as an epistemological turning point and a possible bridge connecting Gestalt therapy, Gestalt theory and Neurosciences. An example of the clinical consequences of this change of perspective is given. Moreover, a validation pilot study has shown that ARK is described by three factors: empathy, resonance and bodily awareness. The ARK can be defined as a three-dimensional construct that supports the positive use of the therapist’s perception in terms of aesthetic knowing of the phenomenological field of the therapeutic situation. The construct of Aesthetic Relational Knowing can be considered a phenomenological, aesthetic and field-oriented contribution to psychotherapy training, supervision and research.</p></div> <div class="field field--name-field-language-2 field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field--entity-reference-target-type-taxonomy-term clearfix field__items"> <div class="field__item"><a href="/taxonomy/term/86" hreflang="en">English</a></div> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-bibcite field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field--entity-reference-target-type-bibcite-reference clearfix field__item"><article class="bibcite-reference"> <div class="bibcite-citation"> <div class="csl-bib-body"><div><div class="csl-entry"><span class="citeproc-author">Spagnuolo Lobb, M</span>. It first provides an overview of the increasing importance of multi-disciplinary teams to enable organisations to respond flexibly and innovatively to their environment. The key ability to work across disciplines or functions does not however come easily and offers a number of coaching challenges. To tackle these, the chapter offers a relational and field-theoretical Gestalt framework that supports coaching of multi-disciplinary teams by focusing on the self, other and situation dimensions of these teams. It argues that a key aim of a Gestalt approach to team coaching is that of developing the team's presence where presence is defined as "energetic availability and fluid responsiveness". The chapter provides two case studies to illustrate the work. It ends with practical reflections on the case studies, emphasising the benefits or applying a Gestalt approach to this work. A comment by Rick Maurer follows the chapter.</p></div> <div class="field field--name-field-language-2 field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field--entity-reference-target-type-taxonomy-term clearfix field__items"> <div class="field__item"><a href="/taxonomy/term/86" hreflang="en">English</a></div> </div> <div class="field field--name-field-bibcite field--type-entity-reference field--label-hidden field--entity-reference-target-type-bibcite-reference clearfix field__item"><article class="bibcite-reference"> <div class="bibcite-citation"> <div class="csl-bib-body"><div><div class="csl-entry"><span class="citeproc-author">Chidiac, M. -A., &amp; Burton, N</span>.
